Real name: Robert Morton Johnston

(1916 Chattanooga, TN – 1994 Nashville, TN) was an American pop music singer. In 1944, he sang with Paul Whiteman's Orchestra on the Philco Summer Hour and released two discs with ARA in 1945. After a stint with the Merchant Marines, he rejoined Whiteman in 1946. Between 1946-1947, he performed with the bands of Larry Clinton and Harry Soznick; from 1947-1948, he worked for Shep Fields. In 1947, he also recorded several sides with the Milt Herth Trio. In 1948 he moved back to Nashville, where he continued to sing on the radio and with the Owen Bradley Orchestra.
