Bernie Burnett
Bernie Burnett is an Australian country singer and first wife of Australian country legend Buddy Williams
Bernice Verl Perring was born in Grafton, New South Wales in 1923. She married Williams in 1940. They met at the Grafton Jacaranda Festival when Burnett was 13 and Williams was 17. They made several recordings together, including "Stockmen in Uniform" and "Let's Grow Old Together". They divorced in 1945.
She would play and record infrequently later.
In 1995 she was inducted into the Hands of Fame, Tamworth.
She died in 2016 at the age of 90.
