The Jazzchor Freiburg was founded in 1990 by Bertrand Gröger. Tours and concerts in China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, Austria, Luxembourg, Hungary, Switzerland and Denmark, the successful participation in competitions (among others 1st prize at the German Choir Competition 1998 and 1st prize at the Choir Olympics in Korea 2002), CD productions ("A Cappella", "Hammenoma", "Live in Japan") as well as radio and television broadcasts made the choir nationally and internationally known.
