Benny B was the first Belgian band to mix French rap and house music. Between 1990 and 1993 they were extremely popular making these sounds accessible to the masses. Amid Gharbaoui (Benny B) was on the mic, Alain Deproost (DJ Daddy K) on turntables and production, Perfect was the dancer. They were criticised because of their "too commercial" sound but a lot of neophytes turned into real house or real hip hop thanks to Benny B.
