Paul Sharratt

English born (2nd August 1933) producer / entertainer / executive. Upon graduation from St. Chad's College, in Staffordshire England, Paul immediately began his career as a serious actor. His early days on the stage were briefly interrupted for two years, during his stint in the Royal Air Force, serving at RAF College Cranwell.

Following this service in the Armed Forces, Paul became a regular member of the British Government's C.S.E. (Combined Service Entertainments) and worked internationally throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Before landing his first major contract in Australia, Mr. Sharratt cut his teeth in comedy in the British Theatre and Music Hall sharing the stage with such great performers as Benny Hill, Johnny Mathis, Bob Hope, Danny La Rue, Gracie Fields, Freddie Sales and Max Miller. Also, he joined Adam Faith, Liberace, and Maurice Chevalier in the top British theatres tour of “The Moss Empire Diamond Jubilee Show.”

Paul opened the original Olde Tyme Music Hall at Ian Orton’s Restaurant in Surfers Paradise Queensland, in June 1974 and it went on to be Australia’s longest running live show.
