The Hotshots

Effective period / Period of releases: 1973 - 1975

Members: John Jones (3), Kelvin Purcell

Having been unsuccessful under their previous name, Wild Country (6), this group achieved notoriety in the UK for their novelty hit "Snoopy vs. The Red Baron". This track was actually recorded by Cimarons with Clive Crawley, but attributed to The Hotshots. Future releases featured the band themselves performing, but did not achieve similar success.
Releases made using their other name Albatross (11) were equally unsuccessful. The band finally changed their name to Fringe Benefit.
