Dutch duo active between 1978-2003 making tv movies, music and theatre for children.

Bassie & Adriaan first started out as 2 acrobats. After performing as acrobats for 25 years (1955-1980) under the name "The Crocksons" they turned over to the big screen and made their first tv-show named "Bassie & Adriaan en de Plaaggeest". In this TV-show Aad van Toor plays acrobat "Adriaan" and his brother Bas van Toor plays "Bassie" the clown. Besides TV shows they wrote songs and remained active in theaters.

In 2003 Aad had to retire due to his illness ending another 25 year career as duo. Bas went on as "Clown Bassie" until 2018 and made a few new tv-shows.
Several reunions after 2003 have occured on special occasions. In 2015 the duo went out of retirement for 1 movie centered around the niece of Bas named "Keet en Koen en de speurtocht naar Bassie & Adriaan".
