Founding member of Italian progressive rock band Pierrot Lunaire, which was formed in 1974. Spent most of the 80's as the musical director for the It label, and a member of the electro-pop outfit, Effetto Notte. Reformed Pierrot Lunaire as a studio project with Vincenzo Caporaletti in the early 90's, but the tracks for the new album on which they were working were never released due to the death of Gaio Chiocchio in 1996.
