Mexican-American singer from Los Angeles, CA.Recorded more than a hundred titles in the 1950s, mostly for William Castillo's Discos Taxco, which was based in Los Angeles, but also for Victor, Latin Lover, and Columbia's X-series. For a while, Discos Taxco promoted him as "El Benjamín De Los Tenores" and proudly boasted that he recorded only for them.
