Members: Der Kleine Chor Der Heinrich-Schütz-Kantorei Freiburg

German choir founded in 1961 by Prof. Martin Gotthard Schneider. It is considered one of the most famous and renowned choirs within the diverse choir landscape of Freiburg and beyond. After Prof. Schneider resigned from the choir after 47 years, the work was continued for 9 years by Bernd Scharfenberger. At the end of 2017 Cornelius Leenen took over the artistic direction.
The name Heinrich Schütz was chosen because it signals a conception aspired to by choir and choirmaster.
