Yarast move their first steps into the Roman metal scene in 2011. Influenced by the works of Hypocrisy, Death, Opeth and The Crown, the band started conveying some death/thrash influences with melo-death styles, thus pursuing a broad death metal sound based on the reciprocal contamination between American and North-European metal features. The arrangement among aggressive and solemn patterns led the band to portray its main concept, that is Soviet's historical controversies. Yarast (ярость: “fury” in Russian) and their lyrics are indeed inspired by Russian cold war harshness, as well as by the fanta-political sceneries about how the world would look like if it had not been dominated by the Anglo-Saxon culture.
