Kumbia Boruka, a multicultural band based in Lyon, France, has eight members from Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and France. Originating in Monterrey, Mexico, where cumbia is deeply rooted, the band's leader, Hernán Cortés, learned the accordion from Mexican cumbia legend Celso Piña.
