Bark Bark Disco

Effective period / Period of releases: 2018 - 2020

Members: Ian Schranz, Morris Woodcock

Bark Bark Disco stem from the island of Malta and the city of Berlin and were formed in August 2010, a week before they played their debut concert with Bonnie Prince Billy in a masonic cemetery in Valletta. It was this gig that actually pushed to band to formation. Their debut video for their single "Song for the Lovers" was a tribute to 70s porn star legend Brigitte Lahaie, and was taken from Erwin Dietrich's classic film Six Swedish Girls in a Boarding School. The band has often defined their sound as "bedroom pop", mainly because of the fact that their debut album, Your Mum Says Hello! was recorded entirely in their bedroom.
