Noah was a Salem, Ohio based psyche/hard rock group that recorded a concept album, Brain Suck, in 1972 that remained unissued for almost 25 years. And 2021 saw the complete release of previously unreleased material when Lérida (Catalonia, Spain) based Guerssen released a DBL LP/CD of Noah’s album, including bonus tracks from their early days as The Sound Barrier (2). Noah were formed in the late 1960s in Salem out of the ashes of two garage bands, The Markees and (The) Sound Barrier (of the legendary 1967 Hey, Hey 7" vinyl single on Zounds Records).

Noah consisted of Mark Scheuring (guitar and lead vocals), Larry Davis (drums), Paul Hess (bass and backup vocals) and Danny Hall (keyboards and backup vocals). In just two days, this band recorded the concept album 'Brain Suck’ at the Cleveland Recording Company studio with engineer/producer Ken Hamann (of Grand Funk Railroad and James Gang fame).
