Real name: Jeanette Ferreira da Costa / Nelson

A duo of musicians from the south of Brazil, Jeanette learned music early, in the rural area of the city of Cruz Alta, her mother played seven instruments. At the age of 14, Jeanette met the singer Gildo de Freitas, a big name in traditional Gaucho music. Then, in the early 60s, she met Nelson, with whom she maintained a partnership for more than 20 years. Together they recorded 22 albums.
