Lee Brilleaux
Real name: Lee Collinson
Lead vocalist of Dr. Feelgood & exponent of the blues harp/sometime guitarist, who moved to Canvey Island in the UK as a teenager and was one of the founding partners of that Island's seminal rhythm & blues band along with Wilko Johnson.Born: 10 May 1952, Durban, South Africa.
Died: 7 April 1994, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, UK.
He was also a driving force in helping Jake Riviera's founding of Stiff Records and a regular at The Grand Hotel watering hole - an inspirational location for Procol Harum - Grand Hotel. Brilleaux died of lymphoma at his Leigh home, survived by his wife Shirley and children Kelly and Nick.
