In 1996, he settled in Nashville and began working as a session musician. Crouch has played or recorded with a long list of artists that includes Dolly Parton, Jerry Reed, Tim O'Brien, Steve Earle, and Marty Stuart, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Johnny Cash, and Ralph Stanley, Peter Rowan, Dale Ann Bradley, Darrell Scott and many others.
