Carmen literally grew up with Country music. At the age of 8 she sang the first song with her father. Attached to Country music, Carmen chose the (more) popular Top-40 and Dutch-language genre in the Netherlands. For some years she sang, with great success, in the duo "Soundwave". After this period she turned down offers to become a singer in wedding bands, ultimately choosing her love for Country music. She started writing, composing and singing herself.
