Bob McGee

Real name: Robert Lee McGee

Country/pop vocalist and songwriter, from Monroe, Louisiana, USA. He played around north Louisiana and east Texas with his band The Minor Keys in the 1950s and 1960s. He appeared on the Louisiana Hayride both as a solo act, and as a member of the vocal group The Four B's. Later on, he would form The Sherwoods (8) with two other The Four B's members.

In the late 1950s he relocated to Longview, Texas, and continued to play in that area. He also hosted a weekly television program on a Tyler, Texas, station, as well wrote a weekly music column for The Longview Morning Journal in the 1970s while living in Nashville, Tennessee, where he had moved in 1971. By the 1990s he had returned to Monroe where he also continued to play on occasion.
