Ashton-On-Mersey Youth Showband
English brass band founded in 1973 by Director of Music Ernie Waites, initially as the school band of Ashton-On-Mersey School, Sale, Cheshire. Around 1977 the band changed it's name to the Ashton-On-Mersey Youth Showband. Ernie Waites continued to direct and score arrangements for the band until his death in 2002.
