The countertenor / alto vocalist Matthias Lucht first studied Viola at the University of Music in Mannheim. After a while he started his singing studies with Gerd Türk. A scholarship of the DAAD (german akademic exchange service) enabled him to continue his studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Howard Crook and Udo Reinemann. At the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis he settled his knowledge in early music with Andreas Scholl.
