Bergkapelle Der Gewerkschaft Sophia Jacoba
Company brass band of the former German colliery Sophia-Jacoba in Hückelhoven-Ratheim. It belonged to the Aachen coalfield and promoted anthracite coal from 1914 until its closure on March 27, 1997. It was the most modern coal mine in Europe from 1960 until the abandonment of the operation. The brass band survived.
