This is in fact the quite legendary The Snivelling Shits, formed in 1977 by Sounds and Zig Zag writer Giovanni Dadomo.
Beggars Banquet requested that the band change their name for the 'Streets' compilation as they didn't want the word Shits on the cover. The album lists the band as both Arthur Comix and Arthur Comics.
