AOKA (official capitalization) is the indie pop/alternative band from Kaliningrad, Russia.

AOKA was formed in 2015 by Victoria Bobrova (Виктория Боброва), who relocated to Kaliningrad from Moscow and originally from Temirtau, Kazakhstan, where she was a singer in the band "Мой Декабрь" (My December).

Original lineup of AOKA included Victoria Bobrova on vocals as well as Alexander Nevezhin (Александр Невежин) (bass, guitar), Sergey Marklarov (Сергей Маркларов) (drums) and Ilya Kapshukov (Илья Капшуков) (guitar, effects, electronics), and its original genre was folky electronic indie rock. The band released its debut single "Призрачные Киты" in January 2016.

But soon afterwards the concept and sound of AOKA was changed, and later in 2016 Victoria found a new lineup: David Mandelshtam (Давид Мандельштам) (guitar) and Eugeny Lysy (Евгений Лысый) (guitar, later also bass), and together they started AOKA as an indie pop/rock project.

In late 2016 the band found its drummer - Dmitriy Volkov (Дмитрий Волков). But in early 2017 (around January) Eugeny Lysy (guitar/bass) left the band. In April 2017 the band was also shortly joined by a bassist Dmitriy Artemiev (Дмитрий Артемьев), who played a few live concerts with AOKA and left soon in late 2017 (around October).

In early 2020 Dmitriy Volkov left the band, and AOKA became a solo project of Victoria Bobrova (Victoria Mandelshtam), while David Mandelshtam still worked with AOKA as a session studio and live guitarist.
