Enka singer originally from Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Best known for his recordings with Pinkara Trio, especially their 1972 debut song 女のみち (Onna no Michi), which remains one of the best-selling singles of all time in Japan, and also the best-selling enka song.
Mr. Miya began his career in 3- and 4-man groups. Later he recorded as a 2-man team with his older brother, Goro Miya. Worked as a solo artist after his brother retired from the business in 1983.
