Música de Maestros, a mestizo-criolla orchestra was founded on February 22, 1989, under the direction of maestro Rolando Encinas. After two years of research and compilation work in the Department of Ethnomusicology and Folklore of the National Institute of Anthropology, together with Yolanda Mazuelos they make a selection of melodies, choosing notable composers of mestizo music composed in the country at different times.
