Female-fronted heavy metal band from Tokyo, Japan. Active from 1984 to 1987. Although Alkaloid had quite a large fan base, they only released a few demos and a track on the Mandrake Root comp LP "Hungry Days" which came out shortly after the band's breakup. Former singer Angel and bassist Akira went on to form Redrum with Shue Sakai (Aion, Virus, Girltique etc) on drums around 1989. Angel also was in E.G.O. (2) with Tetsu (ex-Bellzlleb) in the early '90s and briefly in Saber Tiger in 2005. Punky and Stormy were in Tokyo X-Ray before Alkaloid.
