Blind French organist born in Paris in 1894. Studied at the Paris National Conservatory. Appointed organist of St. Germain des Pres in 1915. Succeeded Joseph Bonnet at the Church of St. Eustache in 1945. Won the Grand Prix du Disque four or more times. Officer of the Légion d’honneur (1960).
Officer of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (1965).
