The Hamilton Peach

Members: Jeff Yost

Fremont, Ohio 1967-69
The Hamilton Peach evolved from Fremont's Roamin V. Roamins Jeff Yost (keyboards) and Mike Carter (drums) joined with Corby Hebron, a guitarist from Clyde, and John Ivy, a bass player from Bellevue. Jeff had played guitar in the Roamin V but switched to keyboards in The Hamilton Peach. Mike Carter moved from bass to drums. In the summer of 1968 The Hamilton Peach recorded two of Jeff's songs, the midtempo vocal "With the Girl That You Love" and the fast organ driven instro "One Way Ticket Down" at Courier, with the 45 issued on CEI records. The 45 got some airplay in the region. In late '68 or '69 guitarist Jim Hoburg joined the band and they changed their name to Wolfgang. Wolfgang played a harder edged sound and opened for several touring acts in Northwest Ohio. The group split up in 1969.
