The Carl Orff Ensemble was an instrumental ensemble at the Music School of the City of Hannover from 1983 to 2013 that performed and recorded using the Orff Schulwerk approach to music education. The widow Liselotte Orff (1930-2012) authorized the ensemble to use Carl Orff's name in 1995 while under the direction of Ulrich Ristau. After Ristaus departure in 2013, the ensemble was renamed in 2014 "Orff Ensemble."
