The Constellations

Cleveland, Ohio 1962-5
The Constellations were another vocal group in the transition from doowop to soul. They were from Cleveland's Lee-Miles neighborhood and had Donald Rose as the lead singer. The Constellations recorded a 45 for the Violet label, with the storming R&B song "Oh Mary" and the ballad "My Dear". "My Dear" was the song that got airplay but collectors have sought out "Oh Mary" for dance club floor shakin'. That was the only recordings for the group.
