German pop singer (* 1926 in Berlin; † 1997 ibid), during World War II he lost both hands and part of his eyesight. As a result, he was unable to return to his traditional commercial profession after the end of the war. From 1945 to 1948 he received a vocal training and started as a soloist (baritone), his active career lasted until the 1970s.
