Technical thrash metal band from Łódź, Poland.

Acrimony was formed in May 1990 in Łódź – the first incarnation consisted on Dariusz Wirowski and Wojciech Głowiński on guitars, bassist Radek, drummer Jakub Sobolewski and lead vocalist Daniel Herczak, which used to rehearse and play at the Cytryna club in their home city.

By late-1990, the band recorded their first tracks live, which appeared on the demo The Structure Of Reality – Live, embracing a technical thrash sound. Line-up soon changed with the addition of new bassist Krzysztof Pajor. In March, they entered the CCS Studio in Warsaw to record their self-released debut In Unknown Direction. Metal Mind Productions showed interest for the group at first, yet they eventually signed with Baron Records which released 1000 copies of their album in 1992.
