Originally formed in 1986 and featured both female and male members, however they quickly morphed into an all-female band. Ladia played melodic heavy metal in their early days on demo tapes, and broke up at some point in the late 80s. They reformed in 1989 and the band went on a major label and changed its musical style to hard rock to pop rock the remainder of their career.

Some former members of Ladia started a hard rock band called Rosy Roxy Roller in Osaka in 1988.
