The Lovell Sisters, Jessica, Megan Lovell, and Rebecca Lovell from Calhoun, GA, descendants of Edgar Allan Poe, first performed in 2004, achieving first-place at the Prairie Home Companion and releasing their first album When Forever Rolls Around a year later. in 2008, they released their second album Time to Grow.

The duo Larkin Poe was formed after the group split up in 2010, when Jessica left after her marriage.
