Swimming the Nile was a German rock band. The trio was founded in Berlin in 1988 by Mathis Richter-Reichhelm (vocals, guitar), Holger Boettcher (drums) and Dany Rhodes (bass) and was initially called "New Clear Days". In 1992, Dany Rhodes left the band and was replaced by A. Jay Hale on bass.
