Real name: Gumersindo Ipinza González

Chilean soldier and composer. He was one of the composers of the Chilean military march "Adiós al 7° de Línea", Luis Mancilla also collaborated in composing the chilean military march "Adiós al 7° de Línea".

Died: 1901 in Santiago, Chile.

After the dissolution of the Chilean regiment "Regimiento 7° de Línea Carampangue" in 24 April 1877, Gumersindo Ipinza would write the lyrics of the military march "Adiós al 7° de Línea". Later, the military composer Luis Mancilla would compose the music for the march "Adiós al 7° de Línea".

After the start of the War of the Pacific in 5 April 1879, Gumersindo Ipinza would be director of military bands in the Chilean regiments "Regimiento Aconcagua" and "Regimiento Atacama". During the Chilean Civil War of 1891, Gumersindo Ipinza participated in the Congressional Junta side. After the Chilean Civil War of 1891, Gumersindo Ipinza participated in multiple meetings with veterans of the War of the Pacific, also he would also be a music teacher and director of Municipal Bands in Coquimbo.
