Antônio Augusto Ferreira (São Sepé, May 16, 1935 – Santa Maria, March 17, 2008) was a Brazilian poet and lyricist.
He was a member of the Academia Rio-Grandense de Letras, occupying chair 28, whose patron is João Belém and whose previous occupant was playwright, journalist and writer Edmundo Cardoso, who died in 2002, and of Academia Santa-Mariense de Letras.
In 1980, he won the Calhandra de Ouro award from the 10th California for Canção Nativa de Uruguaiana with the song Veterano, which was written together with Ewerton dos Anjos Ferreira, for a nephew, the victim of an accident. The song was performed by Leopoldo Rassier and Os Serranos.
