Chaloy Jara
Real name: Salvador Jara
He was an Argentine folk music bandoneonist. With his virtuoso bandoneon, Chaloy gained fame in Rio Grande do Sul - where he lived for around 20 years - through partnerships with Cenair Maicá and Jayme Caetano Braun, with whom he recorded several compositions. He was also admired within Chamamé (he came to be known as Rei do Chamamé) and in Gaucho and Argentine folk music. He was in São Luiz Gonzaga several times participating in the 'International Meeting of Chamameceros'.
