Italian opera singer (basso) - b. Calatafimi, Sicily 1884 - d. Florence 3 Oct., 1937

Debut in Palermo 1913. Career success 1916-1917. Three years at Dal Verme, Milan, then to La Scala in 1924 where he remained until 1936. During the period 1927-1934 he toured periodically with concerts in the U.S., Canada, Europe & South America. He came to Australia in May 1928 as part of Nellie Melba's JCW Grand Opera Season.
