Hayes Pillars
Early jazz tenor sax player and band leader, born April 30, 1906 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Worked with Alphonse Trent's orchestra 1927-1928, then became a leader of Jeter-Pillars "Club Plantation" Orchestra. Continued to perform in the St. Louis area from the 1950s into the mid-1980s.
