Swedish Sámi singer, songwriter and pianist, born on May 12, 1994 in Umeå stadsförsamling, Västerbotten.

Barruk, who grew up in Storuman (Lusspie in Ume Sámi), prefers to sing her songs in the Ume Sámi language, an endangered or moribund language; and as one of the few young speakers of this language, she also wants it to be revitalized for many more people on this planet. So, in addition to her involvement in music, Barruk works as a Sámi teacher in Umeå and Storuman.
