After splitting from the reformed Danse Society in late 2014 the band around Paul Gilmartin and Dave Whittaker released one album, Reincarnated in 2015 and continued to play live as The Danse Society.
However, a legal decision concerning the sole use of the original band name in late 2016 led to a renaming. Live both splinter groups play songs of old and new material.
Since 2020 they appear as Black Chapel.
