Appearing out of nowhere in particular in 2017, Tom Banks aka Donald Dust's debut 12” for No Bad Days and subsequent music for Bordello A Parigi and Paradise Palms introduced the world to his musical sphere: WBMX radio mixes, Ron Hardy drum tracks, the golden era of Italo synths and the rawer fledgling sounds of Eurodisco influenced House circling and overlapping in his productions and DJ sets. In 2018, Donald Dust launched his own label Enter Planet Dust with a 7” of genre-bending DJ tools. Mars R-Trax mines the depths of Youtube modular synth demos, Adam & Fleisner SFX and disco drum 12”s. He has also held down a residency at Edinburgh’s Paradise Palms venue, began his Other Thumpers radio show on EH-FM and DJed in the UK, Europe and USA.
