Born March 7, 1938 in Prague (former Czechoslovakia). Died September 28, 2014 (Czech republic). Husband of Ilona Svobodová. He focuses on soundtracks, including music for animated shorts and music for children, but he released also several albums of alternative pop with lyrical and meditative character.

Owner of the Petr Skoumal Home Studio alias Gorila Studio.
