The Cork-based Irish Weavers are a comedy folk band that formed in 1993. Their music is spirited and fast-paced and often includes generous helpings of humor that have helped sell out live concerts held in the U.S., the U.K., and throughout Europe.
The group consists of a trio of multi-instrumentalists. Barry Looney plays flute, mandolin, spoons, tin whistle, bodhran, and fiddle. Dan Kennedy plays button accordion, mandolin, guitar, and natural whistle. Liam Harris rounds out the group on the tin whistle and piano accordion.
