American singer, born in Minneapolis, MN.

Burt Hanson attended the University of Minnesota, studying voice there with Gertrude Hull and Prof. Earl Killean and also at the McPhail School. During his service in the U.S. army, he sang in several army stage productions. From 1946 to at least 1952, he served as staff vocalist at a Minneapolis radio station. In 1951, he joined the Ramona Gerhard Quartet.
