Maria Bacana was a Brazilian rock band from the state of Bahia. Created in 1995, it lasted until 1997, with an interruption to follow;
In 2018 they performed some shows and, with the help of financing collective , released their last album. On August 30, 2019, they announced the end of the band on social media.

It was initially composed by André L. R. Mendes (Vocals, Bass), Macello Medeiros (Drums) and Lelê (Bassist).
