Born 1938 in Oberrüti AG

He comes from a family of brass musicians who were particularly passionate about promoting amateur music. He enjoyed his musical education with his older brother Franz Stöckli and completed further studies with Fred Aregger in Triengen.
He ran his own butcher shop in Reitnau and has an excellent name in leading brass music circles as a soloist on trumpet and cornet.
He acted as principal cornetist with various renowned music societies.
