Cinérex

Effective period / Period of releases: 1997 - 2002

Members: Alissa Kueker, Kelvin Smits, Sebastien Kalonji, Tommy Rombouts, Kevin Ross, Ivy Smits

The roots of Cinérex can be found in Belgium, in 1994, when Kelvin Smits (a club-DJ who released some stuff in the early 90's as Kelvin, Astrospider, Nuts On Mars ...) and Tom Barman (singer of dEUS) started making music together under the name of General Electrique.

Smits later recruited Sebastien Kalonji (alias DJ Bobo), Tommy Rombouts (who had some success with the techno-project Digital Excitation) and two ladies: Ivy Smits and the American Alissa Kueker (ex-Skylab 2000, Bassland ...). This line-up was called 'Cinérex', after a famous movie building in Antwerp. They released their first album in 1998.

In 2009, Cinérex became the solo project of producer Kevin Ross, who had joined the band around 2002.
